The map shows the impact of the Fukushima NPP accident on the population of the prefecture and changes in the NPP infrastructure from 2004 to 2019.
The map is divided into two zoom ranges representing 2 parts of the project. The small scale of the map shows all houses in Fukushima Prefecture and the impact of the accident (releases of the radioactive element Cesium-137 in kilo-Becquerels / m2) on the population. The height of each square indicates how many houses were affected, and the color indicates the amount of radioactive material.
A close-up zoom shows the NPP infrastructure modeling (buildings, roads, NPP area) of Fukushima Daiichi from 2004 to 2019.
